I'm not sure how to spell it and I barely know how to play it, but tonight I apparently won it! ...or at least part of it. All I know is, I got a prize and I got to wear a little pink tiara for some of the evening! Yay!
I don't know what I was more excited about - getting bunko (bunco or buncko) or realizing that I would have this picture for my picture of the day. Kind of sad, right? No, not really, because I just spent a lovely evening with some old and new friends.
This was actually only my 3rd time to play in the last 20 years. My introduction to this funny game was about 18 years ago, but I didn't belong to a group then. I have known a lot of people who played through the years and belonged to groups. This seems to be a pretty close knit society and once a group is formed they stay together for years. I had never been invited to join. (Hmmm...I won't think about that too long.) Until my sweet friend, Shannon, messaged me and told me she was reorganizing her group, would I like to join? I didn't know if she knew what she was getting into, so I jumped at the chance before she could change her mind - and, boy, am I glad I did!
In just a few short months, I can already tell that this is fast becoming a highlight in my schedule. We had so much fun sitting around and visiting for quite a while before we started playing. It is always good to laugh, and goodness, did we laugh tonight! What a blessing these ladies have become to me already. I think we have many more fun times ahead of us - and more opportunities for great pics of the day!
Let the good times roll! ;-) Sorry - I just had to add that. ;-)

You are too funny Robin! I start playing with a group of ladies in our sub division about 2 years ago. I had no idea what I was doing when we first started. Lots and lots of fun!! The best part is just hanging out with everyone. Have lots of fun! And we spell it bunco... Not sure if that is correct or not! :)
