Winter in Mississippi...

After kind of a wet, muggy weekend, I woke up this morning to a beautiful day.  Yes, it's January and I feel like we should have colder weather, but when you look around and see this, it's hard to complain.

Here are a few pics of what I found in my backyard today.

Yes, that's an azalea blooming.  It's been blooming for over a month now.

Next up is the vinca and then the jasmine.

It does make me want to get out there and start getting the yard fixed up.  Then I remember the date and I know that this time next week, we could very well be waiting on a winter storm to move through.  So today I will just enjoy it.

 Since I ran long on Saturday and was still a little tired and sore from that, I decided to take the dogs for a walk and get in some mileage.
